Kitchen refurbishment in Leeds

Our team is based in London and takes on larger bathroom, kitchen and extension projects within about 200 miles. Leeds is roughly 170 miles away, so we plan each job as a block of work with the same people on site from start to finish.

In Roundhay and Chapel Allerton the most common request is joining the kitchen and dining room of a Victorian semi into one open-plan room with an island, which needs a structural opening and building control sign-off.

What we do

Typical briefs we get from Leeds

Stone and quartz worktops

Templated once the units are in and fitted on a second visit, with undermounted sinks and drainer grooves.

Island with hob or sink

Waste, power and extraction run under the floor to an island, planned before the floor is laid.

Bespoke kitchen installation

Made-to-measure or solid timber cabinetry fitted and scribed to walls that are never quite straight.

Lighting design

Pendants over the island, under-cabinet LEDs and spotlights on separate circuits and dimmers.

Our clients

Who we work for in Leeds

Our Leeds work is mostly in Roundhay, Alwoodley, Adel, Headingley and Chapel Allerton, for clients who value a finished result and a single accountable team over the cheapest quote.

Many Headingley houses have been student lets and come back to family use needing a complete kitchen: new circuits, new plumbing runs and often a new consumer unit before the cabinetry goes in.

Cost and time

Planning your budget

A refit in the same layout typically takes one to two weeks on site and a full renovation two to four. Use the kitchen renovation cost calculator for an estimate with VAT, or see the full scope on our London kitchen refurbishment page.

Local know-how

Rules and conditions in Leeds

Leeds has soft water, so appliances and taps scale up far less than in the South East. We still check pressure and flow at the sink before fitting a boiling-water tap or a mixer.

Gas hobs are connected by our gas engineers and new cooker circuits are notifiable under Part P. Structural openings go to Leeds City Council building control or an approved inspector.

Questions

Kitchen refurbishment in Leeds: your questions

Can you open up the kitchen and dining room in a Roundhay semi?

Yes. It needs a steel beam, structural calculations and building control approval, which we arrange as part of the kitchen project.

Do you work in Leeds?

Yes. We take on complete kitchen refurbishment projects across Leeds, including Headingley, Roundhay, Chapel Allerton, Horsforth, Meanwood and Moortown, and in Roundhay, Alwoodley, Adel, Headingley and Chapel Allerton.

Will I have a kitchen during the work?

Not for the whole time, but we can keep a temporary sink or tap working where possible.

Can you put a hob or sink in an island?

Usually yes. The waste needs enough fall, the hob needs its circuit and extraction, and we plan both before the floor goes down.

Do you connect gas hobs and range cookers?

Yes, our gas engineers connect and test them.
