Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the supply of plumbing, gas and electrical services by Plumbery Ltd (company number 11677583), registered office at 106 Great Portland St, London W1W 6PF (“Plumbery”, “we”, “us”), to any customer (“you”) who books work through our website, by phone, or in person. By booking a job with us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Quotations and estimates

Prices quoted over the phone or online are estimates based on the information you provide. A firm price is confirmed once our engineer has assessed the job on site. Call-out charges, where applicable, are communicated before an engineer is dispatched.

2. Bookings and appointments

We will give you an appointment window rather than an exact time. We will contact you if an engineer is running significantly late. Emergency call-outs are prioritised by severity and may affect scheduled appointment times.

3. Pricing and payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of the work by card, bank transfer, or cash. For larger jobs we may request a deposit before work begins and staged payments as work progresses. Any additional work identified once a job is underway will be quoted separately before we proceed.

4. Cancellations

You may cancel or rearrange a booked appointment free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less notice, or a missed appointment where access could not be gained, may incur a call-out charge to cover the engineer’s time.

5. Materials and parts

Where we supply parts or materials, these are charged in addition to labour unless quoted as an inclusive price. You are welcome to supply your own materials, but we cannot guarantee workmanship on parts we have not sourced ourselves.

6. Guarantees and workmanship

All labour is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion against defects arising from our workmanship, unless a different period is agreed in writing for a specific job. Manufacturer warranties on parts and appliances are passed on to you separately and are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms.

7. Gas and electrical compliance

All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers in accordance with current gas safety regulations. All electrical work complies with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and, where notifiable, is registered with the relevant building control body.

8. Liability

We carry public liability insurance and will make good any damage caused directly by our negligence during the course of the work. We are not liable for pre-existing faults, wear and tear, or issues arising from third-party work not carried out by us, except where required by law.

9. Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations)

If you booked as a consumer away from our premises (for example, online or by phone) you ordinarily have 14 days to cancel. Where you ask us to begin work within that period, you agree to pay for the proportion of work carried out up to the point of cancellation.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
